 Wildhaven has moved!

We offer a flexible Monday through Friday learning network

for homeschool registered children.

Our home base is centrally located beside the Rainbow Recreation Centre

and our mobile offerings take place at SIMS, the library, and many other

satellite stations throughout Shiya’hwt-Ganges.

2026-27 Offering

Core Program

  • Location: The Hive Maker Studio (262 Rainbow Road Portable)

  • Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

  • Hours: 9:30am - 3:00pm

  • Ages: 6+

The Setting:

In our own devoted space at the pool-side portable we will be curating a rich Maker Studio atmosphere for project work and theme study.

Alongside the Studio we keep our “sea can of wonders” — an open-ended tickle trunk full of materials to support the flow of child-directed inspiration.

We love rising to meet the emergent needs and possibilities that come with authentic exploration and Deep Work. Whether that is a walk through the forest to our research station (the public library), or a cooking session at the SIMS Home Ec room, a coyote mentoring nature session in Mouat’s Park, or collaboration with local organizations in town, we dearly prize the flexibility that makes Wildhaven nimble, agile, and responsive to our students’ curiosity.

Our mixed-age cohort can easily split into groups according to interest or capacity, expanding out into our outdoor classroom / play yard. We are also blessed to have the field for soccer and games, and the seven acres of forest and gardens surrounding us.

Description:

Each month will feature a Theme Study. Some of the units we have on hand:

1. Invention lab: Gadgets & Engineering
2. Myth weavers, story-catching
3. Multicultural dwellings / survival skills

As ever, we offer the flexibility of 1, 2, or 3 days/week.  Full-time 3 day attendance provides the most continuity for projects, themes, and depth of learning.

Uniquely, at Wildhaven we welcome attachment and parent involvement as a valuable aspect of our learning community.
